At the close of the retreat, participants were given the choice of what to with clay. If they felt attached to their pieces, they were invited to take them.

Placing pots to deteriorate and return to the Earth through the breakdown in the elements is a way to observe impermanence and interdependance.

This participant chose to fire their pieces. In an email, they shared, "Surprisingly nothing blew up!" These pieces may serve as an object to reflect on an experience. The element of attachment can also be reflected upon and the purpose the clay serves the individual.

For participants who were open to letting their clay go, they were invited to wedge their pieces together in an act of reclamation.

Clay from the retreat was then donated to a preschool program. Filled with loving kindness and energy to young hands embracing presence through play.
